Trafi's online customer services supported by a secure e-Authorization system – open daily, 8am-6pm

12/20/18, 3:00 PM

Trafi’s e-Services hub is now supported by a secure e-Authorization system and the digital certification process used in change of ownership matters. The services are open every day, including weekends, 8am-6pm. Users may experience some delay due to the current service backlog.

The following Trafi e-Services are now available: Trafi’s core e-Services supported by e-Authorization:

  • Vehicle registration services except the subscription service for vehicle registration certificates
  • Vehicle taxation services
  • Watercraft registration services and customer verification transactions
  • Driving license services
  • Professional competence services (applications for medical driving dispensations and maritime registrations)
  • Disabled parking permit service
  • Survey and inspection service for watercraft

A verified certification service has also been launched, which is particularly relevant to vehicle registration processes in the automotive trade.

Backlog may lead to service delay

Users of national online registration services, especially those in the automotive trade, finance services, and insurance sector, may experience periodic delays due to the current service backlog.

Trafi's other e-Services are set to remain closed for now.

Trafi took its e-Services offline on Sunday 9/12/18 in order to ensure the discontinuation of its driver data service. The secure e-Authorization and digital certification services were activated on Friday 14/12/18. The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority is expected to issue its final assessment of the data protection and security status of Trafi's e-Services by 21/12/18.
